Antony Straubhaar is acting Chief Engineer at Transport for NSW, where he provides technical leadership, engineering governance and assurance across the NSW transport portfolio of $238b assets spanning rail, road, bus, ferry, maritime and active transport. With nearly two decades of experience across the public and private sectors, Antony brings a breadth of expertise in engineering, commercial and asset management with a focus on whole-of-life outcomes.
Antony is a Chartered Professional Engineer, Fellow of Engineers Australia and Engineering Executive. Antony is also a Certified Fellow in Asset Management and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, reflecting his commitment to both technical excellence and contemporary governance. Antony is passionate about realising public value through policy reform, strategic transformation and capability uplift.
